Kids-n-Worship
The SFBC Kids ‘n Worship service is held every Sunday from 9:30a.m.- 11:00a.m. in the second floor auditorium of the Childrens Building. The service is led by Pastor Bruce Ray Kassab and a worship team of dozens of adults, teens, and pre-teens. These unique, multi-media, high-energy services minister to pre-school and elementary age children ages 4-8. The program incorporates skits, full costume dramas, Bible stories, object lessons, live power point, music, and break-out sessions all to demonstrate to kids how to worship God and learn about Him from His Word. There is always a lot of excitement in the Kids ‘n Worship room because the Spirit of God is always willing to show up and minister to all in attendance.
Beyond the primary target audience of boys and girls ages 4 through 8, the Kids ‘n Worship program also reaches several other populations. Firstly, the program is an outlet for gifted children’s ministry workers of all ages. If you are gifted and willing to serve, please, contact Pastor Bruce ASAP to discuss the possibilities even if it’s only so he knows about your talents and background.
Secondly, Kids ‘n Worship serves as an important training and service ground for pre-teens, teens, and adults who have been led to seek exposure or training in acting, puppetry, crafts, story-telling and back stage technical work for Christian education and related mission’s ministries. If you have ever felt a call to serve the Lord in this area, please, contact Pastor Bruce to discuss the possibilities for the future. This is very important to God’s work here at SFBC and beyond.
Lastly, the Kids ‘n Worship program could not operate without the dozens of parents and adults who cycle through the program quarterly or more often as “shepherds.” No experience or preparation is necessary. Shepherds assist the various delivery teams to control the excitement, pass out literature, monitor the halls, and aid in dismissal. There is always a sign up sheet for this vital occasional service to the Kingdom so make sure to sign up at least once and lend a hand. It will help you to pray for all the future Kids ‘n Worship services. Additionally, any parents or interested guests are always welcome to worship with us in Kids ‘n Worship for any reason. Just show up at 9:30AM on Sunday on the second floor of the Children’s Building! We have special observation chairs in the back of the room that are always occupied, but there’s an extra one for you.
