Well this has been an event filled day at Mt Leb. Camp day 3 was amazing, crazy, and there were a few unexpected events!! Overall God is doing an amazing work in the lives of your Champion! We did have to send half of the 4th grade boys group home and the remaining 7 have dubbed themselves “The Survivors”.
We were blessed tonight to see many commit to let Jesus’ light shine bright in their lives! They already had a relationship with Christ but were not living it loud! There were about 9 first time decisions tonight!! He is still working and so we need you to pray tomorrow is as productive as today and illness will stay far from us! Parents and family we love you and can’t wait to report tomorrow on what God has accomplished!
By the way the pics from today were taken and we will post in the morning! Goodnight and keep the prayers and encouraging letters coming!!!
Had a fabulous day posted several pics on the blog! Please pray for the Champs some are starting to get a little homesick and day 3 is the hardest for them! They love you and are having a blast so just pray for them and keep sending encouraging letters from home!
Tomorrow will be the first decision service so please also pray for clarity in the message and connections to Jesus would be made! More words tomorrow! By the way we did everything in reverse from day 1! The boys did what the girls did Tuesday!
Wow friends and family what a day! We rocked out to the Glowworms and watched Jesse Joyner do some amazing things with various objects! He juggled a bowling ball, tennis raquet, and plunger at one time. He also juggled mashetti knives over a camp counselors head! Jesse also showed us how crazy life can get and how God intended for us to grow into a deep relationship with him! After service it was off to grubb time with burgers and fries for lunch. Then we did our quiet times in Psalm 139:11-12 and learned how God never intended for us to stay in darkness! Then we swam for a very brief time as the 1st day was tied to rules and whatever the lifeguards wanted to tell us! Then we were off to bible study
and dug deep into Gods word and looked at how Satan planned to keep us in darkness and our sin keeps us there. Then God speaks
and we sets us free from the darkness and gives us the gift that no
other can give! After Bible study the girls went to the zip line and the boys were at the alpine tower! Both of these events challenged us to overcome our fears and trust God! The final activity for the day for the guys was “Rowdy” we played “Carlot” this game made us make choices and then act on the choices made. The girls played “Spaz” which taught us about the crazy things life can challenge us with. We discovered that the only thing to overcome the challenges is a growing relationship with the Lord. Then it was off to dinner for steak fingers and fixings!
Our last worship time dealt directly with the cause of darkness and sin! We were able to see that our sin had to be dealt with and Jesus was the only one that could do that! We finished the night with a time together and discussed how God worked today! Several shared about what they noticed and parents and family you should be proud! We are looking forward to an amazing day tomorrow! Thanks for letting me come to this awesome place and make new friends and experience a love that is INDESCRIBABLE! Please send your emails and tell me how things are going at home! Love you and can’t wait to write tomorrow!
Love,
Your Little Champion
